Okay so I took a break from this for a few days so I wouldn't get burnt out on it.
Now that I've come back and I've had time to look over my town and the things I've been doing wrong, I'm not sure I want to continue with this town.
I realize I've made some very poor choices out of ignorance, and the development of this town is only going to get slower.
My graveyard isn't big enough to hold the amount of people dying from old age. It's almost full and I don't know how big of an impact it has if you can't make graves for every villager. I'm trying not to read too much about the game on official sources because it's much more fun to explore the game myself.
But, that said, since I do know where I went wrong on some of my choices, I am tempted to restart on a new map with some better terrain. I have been fiddling around with some placement ideas for the rest of my 'official' buildings, and there's not as much room as I'd like for there to be.
I can just barely squeeze in a market, town hall, and church. But the rest of my pastures might have no place to go unless I put them on the other side of the river somewhere, or behind a mountain. But this is going to be very inefficient for me. I also made a terrible mistake with having two separate stockpiles, but it's too late to fix this for the moment. I will have to get rid of my second stockpile.
