We talk about freely distributed, or open source, Role-plying games or engines

Fuzion:
Made by R. Talisorian, is part of what was used in Mekton Zeta. The basic book can be downloaded freely

BA's Rating: An awesome unversal RPG system that uses Stat+Skills+D10 for quick resolution. I love it.

D6 System:
Made by West End Games, a company that's tanking so its releasing a few things for free to build fanbase. The D6 System has several set-up: Space, Adventure, and Fantasy. With supplements that add to each other, Spacesips, Adventure Locations, Fantasy Creatures, etc.

BA'S Rating: Great as a purchased system, even better free! Everything is handled by D6's and it has a rather smooth gameplay. Stuff from the different rulebooks are easy to port to another setting, e.g. Taking Psionics from Adventure, and using them is Space.

I normally go Tri-Stat, but I did use a modified D&D stat system for my Gundam RPG... A bunch of my games have been school-related, even one that was similar to persona (in that, they were mostly normal until they got to the freaky supernatural stuff). I tend to be really lax with my games, not taking health and energy into anything but a loose consideration. After all, if you get your head chopped off, (generally) you're dead.

Usually, I prefer a D6- I'm comfortable interpreting it's rolls and have been using it the longest. D20s I quite dislike. Sure, they're very common, but the variance is always so wild... Yeah, you can have skills make up for that kind of thing, but the D6 makes it more simplistic.

Recently, I've begun a multi-die system with my Sailor Moon RPG. It goes a little something like this:

Good Side:
Cats: D3, Humans: D6, Sailor Scouts: D12, Final Battle Sailor Scouts: D24

Bad Side:
Monsters: D5, Generals: D8, Bosses: D14, and Final Battle Boss: D20

D6's and D10's are my favorites, with d10's taking the lead by a little.

I had actually been considering a Persona style game, probably using D6 Adventure, but I still need to read through it. My main concern would be how the people would use Persona style beings that their characters control, and how they would affect each other and vice-versa (That is, how a Person would affect its user).

Trying to get the Dresden Files RPG thing going again. Be a wizard or changeling or even a regular joe and fight the creepy crawlies that the regular world tends to ignore!

Unless anyone else wants to, I'll be DMing. We'll figure out the right times to set this up and everything. I also have an outline of a plot, but I'll talk it over with you and change it if you think its needed.

Who'd be willing to play this?

So, I'm planning to host a game of Pathfinder (basically an improved D&D 3.5) over Fantasy Grounds 2, hopefully in the near future. I have 2 players in for it right now, and I'm looking for up to 2 more guys that would want to join in. A third, I think, would be pushing it.

As long as you're not some super serious powergamer or anything, feel free to post in this thread if you're interested at all or want any more info, even if you're completely new to the whole D&D thing.

Anyhow, here's a rough description of the setting I've got planned out:

The premise here is that the players are all joining this particular adventurer's guild. It used to be a pretty damn good guild, and was once up there with the top guilds back in the day (a few years before the players arrive), but most of their top members ended up leaving the guild, joining another guild, dying, or a combination of those. So since then the guild has been looking for new members that could help it rise up again. It sort of helps that most of the other guilds either completely suck or are all hoity-toity and demand previous guild experience and 18s in every stat.
Now, since the players arrive and sign up at roughly the same time, they get put into their own team for job-doing purposes. The guild will feature a bulletin board that always keeps several job postings on it that he players pick out and complete for differing rewards. Expect action, adventure, romance, an actual plot arising out of certain jobs put up, and interferences by rival guilds.

This sounds interesting to me. I'd love to join in and see where things go. I could use an incarnation of Prinn for this, what with her being a warrior and all.

Sounds good. If you've got an MSN or if you still use your AIM account at all, I can use that for contacting you for when I plan on hosting, or for links to Pathfinder and FG2 stuff if you need those.

After much confusion (And getting Aizen angry at me) I figured that it's best if a schedule is made to keep track of time slots available for playing Fantasy Grounds.

All these times are found by taking unavailable times, adding a 1 hour margin of error then reversing these times to find the times a player is relatively available. These times, unless requested, don't contain sleep schedules. Mainly because players already violate their sleep schedules to get in some extra fun. This is to figure out what times are definitely NOT available for playing Fantasy Grounds.

And what do I mean by "relatively available"? I mean these times are relative to situation and common occurrences. Meaning that times might not be 100% accurate. Maybe something came up and you had to spend an hour on the phone with some idiot computer tech that doesn't know English.

This post will be updated to reflect future schedule changes.

Also, your name does not have to be on the Schedule. I can easily just put a short reference ID on it and you can share the ID privately. Because lurkers. ( Not like it's going to hurt, but oh well. )

If any information is wrong or you'd like a modification to your available times just message me on MSN. I'll be trying to get every FG player on this schedule.
