Watch me, a slightly experienced beginner, as I rise through the ranks and grow stronger with every drawing!

For a little background: Back when I was in forth grade I used to Draw pictures of Dragonball Z characters that were on trading cards. I'd look back and forth between the paper and the card and copy the whole thing. I drew about a dozen of them before I lost interest (being a kid, it was expected).

And here I am now nearly a decade and a half later, beginning my quest. Truth is, I've been interested in furthering my skills for a couple years now, but due to a combination of the overwhelming amount of information out there making it hard to know where to begin, and being embarrassed at my own bad drawings, I wasn't able to muster up the courage or motivation to begin my quest... that is until now!

And to start things off, here is the first drawing for the thread. Drew this about a month ago. Honestly I didn't have much hope going into this, but after drawing this, it gave me hope. This is the drawing that made me think: I really CAN do this if I try! It looks simple, but I spent hours on just this head and even then it still has a lot of flaws! I still got a very long road ahead of me.

Drew this one tonight. I'm scraping the character though because the design doesn't suit my tastes, but at least it took less time than the last one to do. I have a LOT of trouble with the hair. Also, I have Tablet Parkinson's disease, so it's hard to draw a smooth line.

By the way, I'm only drawing heads for now until I feel comfortable enough with them. No bodies. One small step at a time!

>Only heads for now

You're playing it smart, learning anatomy is a long process.
But, if you haven't been doing this yet, seek information and don't just try to improve your muscle memory.
By that I mean, don't try to just look at something as reference.
Look at real life references and learn the construction of things.
That will help your skills improve many times faster since you will understand how construction works.
However, if you have already been doing that, awesome! Keep going! Your skill will only keep improving over time!
